I encourage you to! Literally, everyone sucks when they first start writing; I promise no one is born writing sonnets and soliloquies like Shakespeare (I certainly wasn't). I firmly believe, so long as you have a passion and respect for the craft, that you can and should write—even if it's only for yourself to see!
